Design Brief
Design a commercial high-back seating solution that foster focus, relaxation, or intimate conversation within open, shared workplace environments.
CAD Modeling
Modeled in virtual reality to rapidly iterate form, scale, and ergonomics. Finalized in SolidWorks to produce renders, technical packages and aid in full scale prototype fabrication.

Frame Fabrication
Coordinated with an upholsterer to build out the nessessary components to achieve the design intent. Built the frame by hand utlizing a myriad of woodworking techniques.
Cast Aluminum Legs
Designed the legs in SolidWorks with drafts for molding and produced a technical package with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing to collaborate with a foundry to produce the four sand cast aluminum legs.

Upholstery and Assembly
Created scale models, renders, and a technical package to coordinate with the upholsterer to produce a prototype that meets the design intent.
Full Scale Prototype
The prototype was used to present the design concept to company executives to gain approval for further design development.
