HomeForm is a 3D printer designed to feel like a natural part of the home. By replacing traditional CAD with a more intuitive system, HomeForm makes 3D printing accessible to non-experts. It uses an integrated 3D scanner and an automatic CAD generator that builds geometry from a range of inputs, including voice prompts, technical drawings, reference images, and 3D scans. HomeForm prints using selective powder deposition with full-color capabilities. It builds in vertical columns rather than requiring the entire print bed to be filled, reducing material waste. A rotating bed and air-blower system automatically remove loose support powder, which is collected and reused, making the entire process cleaner, simpler, and more sustainable.
